We launched our improved Air Canada NDC program to modernize our product distribution, and offer personalized content at the best possible price. Since our initial launch, we have made great strides with the program, expanding it to more international markets, signing agreements with three GDS partners and adding access to even more content and additional self-serve options.
We also committed to working with you, our agency partners, through the transition to the Air Canada NDC program and we value your efforts in this process. As a result of this commitment, effective immediately, the Distribution Cost Recovery (DCR) fee will be waived for your agency until June 30th, 2024, for GDS bookings made with Point of Sales (POS) Europe plus Point of Commencement (POC) Europe.
Your GDS will automatically waive the DCR fee for eligible bookings made until June 30th, 2024.
From July 1st, to maintain the waiver, your agency will need to have produced at least 1% of bookings through one of Air Canada’s NDC channels1 and commit to a gradual ramp up of NDC bookings of at least 1% every month thereafter.

1 Air Canada’s NDC booking channels include API, aggregators, Amadeus NDCx and AC Connex, our free desktop platform. We expect to have NDC available in most European countries before June 30th – please check with your Air Canada Sales manager if Air Canada NDC is already available in your market.
