Skiing in Canada is fantastic. You can free of charge bring your skis or snowboard on Air Canada.
Following conditions apply when travelling from Europe to Canada:
- One (1) ski equipment bag and boots (per customer, this counts as one piece of baggage);
- Applicable to AC and LH, OS, SN, LX operated flights.
- One (1) boot bag per customer (if not travelling with skis/snowboards) on AC operated flights only;
- Customers travelling with a boot bag only may be assessed baggage fees when travel originates on LH, OS, SN, LX
Applies to any stopovers/connections enroute. For example, CPH-YYZ-YVR-YYC-YYZ-CPH, baggage fees are not assessed for the ski/boots if customer has stopovers in YVR, YYC, YYZ.
Subject to all acceptance conditions as stipulated in the document Sports Equipment (SPEQ) – Baggage Acceptance Policy.
Customers may be prompted to pay baggage fees when checking in using the self-service tools. If this occurs kindly inform customers to a check-in agent for handling.
Restrictions:
- Not applicable to Economy Basic fares.
- Not applicable on airlines that are not listed above;
- Regular ski policy applies to/from all other destinations. Refer to the page Sports Equipment (SPEQ) – Baggage Acceptance Policy.
