You must have an eTA when travelling to or via Canada
Since November, 09th 2016 the eTA (Electronic Travel Authorization) has been enforced when travelling to or via Canada.
The eTA permission is an eletronic document. The price is CAD 7,00. Once approved, an eTA is valid five years, or until your passport expires, whichever comes first.
Apply for your eTA and be sure to fill in with your name according to passport, valid passport number and date of birth. For more information click
